Bert Page Live at Brand New Start | Crouch End Festival

01 June

Bert-Page-and-Co-Optagon

The Bert Page Band are a talented London based three-piece with bold, original songs. This music is rock that doesn’t fear to travel across borders from folk to jazz. Singer/songwriter Bert plays guitar and fender rhodes while Lenny and Scott hold down the rhythm on bass and drums.

About the Band

Bert Page Bert-Page

One of the most talented keyboarders and painters we know, Bert blends in solid funk, with soulful tunes and a bit of Bad Plus style proggy Jazz thrown in to make an amazingly tasty cocktail.

Lenny Greenberg

Bassist

Lenny is a former dj and producer whose contribution to UK Hip Hop is well-documented. His ear for rhythm and a well-placed bass line led him to take up the electric bass and to his involvement in numerous live and studio projects. His style is integral to this band.

Scott Tayler

Drummer

Scott is an innovative, versatile and rocksteady percussionist, whose talents put him in high demand. His effortless style and ability to underpin any groove that comes his way make him the band’s sonic chassis.

The Rebelles at Brand New Start, Haringey | June 8th 2013

Who Are The Rebelles?

Crouch End local Tracie Hunter with Phoebe White and Anna Randall are a three-piece female harmony group.

I was delighted when Tracie, Phoebe and Anna agreed to come and sing at Brand New Start during our Crouch End Festival celebrations. This exciting new band with equally exciting faces just serves to illustrate the great talent hidden in N8. This is your chance to get to see these beautiful girls and more importantly hear their fabulous voices, not from the “balcony” a million miles away but up close and personal from just a few yards. This is one opportunity you definitely don’t want to miss. OK I’ll admit I am VERY biased because I love these ladies, so here (below) is a video so you can decide for yourselves. ….Jonny.

The Rebelles – Press

Review: MetalTalk.net

If you like your rock to stir the cockles of your heart, Tracie Hunter’s forthcoming album, ‘Vasilisa’, will have you reaching for the Kleenex (though hopefully not the noose). Having heard a couple of other tracks from ‘Vasilisa’, first single …

Review: MusicNews.com

‘Junkman’ is passionately yet sensibly handled with a slow-burning start that gradually drifts over into passionate singing charged with plenty of energy, blistering guitar solos and above all, two fantastic voices!

Review: GetToTheFront.com

The song is a great example of what a power ballad should be, and is sang with both feeling and passion by Hunter and Elliot…

Review: FairHearing.co.uk

Tracie Hunter is easily as good as most female rock singers and better than most, so let’s have this promised third album from her please…
